Kariyanshola trail package is available for the day visitors
to the Parambikulam Wildlife Sactuary as well as to other visitors who will be
staying in other packages and like to explore the nature by foot. The package
will let you take the trail through enchanting natural and beautiful evergreen
forests with a touch of numerous endangered medicinal plants and orchids.
Kariyanshola trail offers to experience the nature at its
original state and unspoiled nature is really a treat to your eyes and mind.
Enjoy Kariyanshola trail. The route for the Kariyanshola trail starts from
Anappdy – Rock point – Kariyanshola – Teak plantation and back to Anappady
covering 6 km by foot through the thick forests and natural beauty. The charges
for Kariyanshola trial for two persons is Indian Rs.500 and for additional
persons Rs.100/head with maximum of ten persons in a group. Two trained
naturalists approved by the Forest Department will be provided during the
entire trip.
Parambikulam Wildlife sanctuary is is one of the most
protected wildlife reserve in western ghats
and second Tiger reserve in
Kerala. The jungle camp offers
opportunity to enjoy the natural eco-system and view different species of
animals and birds at close encounters. The endangered big cat- the Indian
Tiger, Leopard and Black panther can be seen in this tiger reserve.
